# Affiliate Terms

**Effective 23 Oct 2026.** These terms cover the SerpWiz affiliate program. They add to our [Terms of Service](/terms), which also apply.

## 1. Joining

- Any SerpWiz account with a verified email can join from **Dashboard → Affiliates**.
- We may decline, suspend or end any affiliate account, for example for a breach of these terms.

## 2. Links and coupon codes

- You get referral codes that work both as a link (`serpwiz.com/?ref=CODE`) and as a coupon code entered at signup or on the billing page before the first purchase.
- A referral counts when a customer signs up through your link (within 60 days of clicking it), **or** enters your code at signup or before their first purchase. The code on its own is enough; no link is needed. If a customer arrives through one link and enters a different code, the code they enter counts. Once a code is applied to an account, it can't be changed.
- You can have up to **3 active codes**. Releasing a code retires it permanently: it stops working for new customers and is never reissued to anyone, and customers who already used it stay yours.
- We may refuse or remove codes that are misleading, offensive, or use someone else's brand.

## 3. Bonus queries

- A referred customer gets **10,000 bonus queries** once they verify their email. No payment is needed.
- You get **10,000 bonus queries** per referred customer, either when they make their first payment or once they're actively using SerpWiz, at least 7 days after signing up. You can earn this bonus for up to 10 customers who haven't paid in any 30 days. There's no limit for customers who pay.
- Bonus queries are valid for 12 months, like any purchase, and have no cash value. We may withhold a bonus for accounts with temporary or disposable email addresses until they make a payment.

## 4. What you earn

- **10% commission** on each payment a referred customer makes, for as long as they remain a customer, excluding taxes, bonus and free queries.
- **Payouts are NET30, on the 1st of each month.** Each commission becomes payable 30 days after the sale, in case of refunds or chargebacks. On the 1st, everything payable is paid out once it adds up to **$100** or more and you've set up your payout method. Payable amounts under $100 roll over to the next month until they reach $100.
- We pay by PayPal or Wise, to the account you set in your affiliate dashboard. If a payment can't be completed, for example because the account details are wrong, that month's payout stays outstanding until it's resolved.
- If a payment is refunded or charged back before its commission is paid, the commission is reduced or cancelled. If the commission was already paid, the same amount is deducted from your next payout.
- You're responsible for any taxes on your earnings.

## 5. Self-referrals and abuse

Referral bonuses are for genuinely new users. **Every referral is checked automatically, for as long as the accounts exist, not only at signup.** If we find that a referred account is controlled by the same person as the referring account, or as another account they referred, then for every account involved:

- the referral is voided, with no commission on it
- **all bonus queries are removed straight away**, including any already used, which are deducted from the balance
- the free monthly queries stop
- the account can't earn referral bonuses again, whether it refers others or is referred

This includes your own accounts under other email addresses, and accounts you control for other people. We don't disclose how the check works. If you think we've made a mistake, contact us and we'll review it.

We also don't allow:

- spam, or advertising that is misleading or makes false claims about SerpWiz
- bidding on "SerpWiz" or close variations in paid search ads
- cookie stuffing, forced clicks, or incentivised signups that aren't genuine customers
- coupon sites that publish codes you weren't given permission to share widely, if we ask you to stop

We may void referrals and commissions, and suspend affiliate accounts, that break these rules.

## 6. Commission buyout

We may end your future commissions on some or all of your referrals by paying you a one-time buyout instead, for example if SerpWiz is sold, merged or restructured, or the affiliate program changes or closes. If we do:

- **The buyout is 12 times your average monthly commission** from the referrals concerned, based on the **3 full calendar months** before our notice, after refunds and chargebacks. If a referral is newer than 3 months, we average over the full months since it joined.
- We'll give you **at least 30 days' notice** by email, showing how the amount was calculated. You keep earning commission as normal until the buyout date.
- Commissions earned before the buyout date are still paid under section 4, including any still on hold. The buyout itself is paid within 30 days of the buyout date, by the same method as your payouts, regardless of the usual minimum payout.
- After the buyout, those referrals earn no further commission, and any rights under these terms that depend on them end.

## 7. Changes

We may change the commission rate, bonus or these terms. Changes apply to referrals made after the change. Commissions you've already earned keep the terms they were earned under.
