# Acceptable Use Policy

**Effective 23 Oct 2026.** This policy is part of our [Terms of Service](/terms). It keeps SerpWiz fast, cheap and lawful for everyone on the shared service.

## You may not use SerpWiz to

1. **Break the law.** This includes data-protection, privacy, consumer-protection, export-control and intellectual-property laws.
2. **Harm people.** Don't use it to stalk, harass, dox or discriminate against anyone. Don't build profiles of private individuals without a lawful basis.
3. **Send spam or run fraud,** including collecting contact details for unsolicited messages, phishing or impersonation.
4. **Get around our limits.** This includes:
   - creating multiple accounts to get extra free queries
   - spreading traffic over several accounts to get around rate limits
   - automating account sign-up
   - sharing API keys outside your organization
5. **Resell raw access.** You can't resell, sublicense or provide our API, or substantially unchanged results from it, as a competing search-data service without a written agreement with us. You can build products that use our results.
6. **Attack or overload the Service.** This includes probing for vulnerabilities, bypassing authentication or billing, sending deliberately malformed or excessive traffic, or reverse-engineering our infrastructure. Report security issues to support@serpwiz.com.
7. **Infringe third parties' rights** in content returned by the Service, for example by republishing it in breach of copyright.

## Enforcement

If we believe you've broken this policy, we may:

- warn you
- throttle your traffic
- revoke keys
- suspend your account
- terminate your account

Where we reasonably can, we'll contact you first. For serious or repeated breaches, we may act immediately. Accounts terminated for breach aren't eligible for refunds ([Terms](/terms), section 11).
